Grim Rabbit

Today, you all get a bunny holding a rifle. Because, reasons, that's why.

This morning was really strange. I woke up at four, and had to use the bathroom, then didn't really go back to sleep. I just had that restless, sort of in and out of consciousness thing going on. finally, once I pulled myself up and out and got dressed, I was still really out of it.
My poor kid is still slugging away at a bad cold, and was all wrapped up in a ball, when I woke her up. I ended up almost falling asleep again while my wife wrapped up the daily beauty requirements in the bathroom.
Then it was the big rush to get a coat on the child, and get out of the house to park on the freeway again. When I think back to it, I get the theme song to office space stuck in my head. That little salsa dance music while they are stuck in traffic.
I just am not feeling the funny today, so instead I drew you a rabbit. I hope you enjoy it, as much as I did making it. More better tomorrow.

Tuesday Draw

This is the first Tuesday Draw. Yes, It is late, but I forgot to post it yesterday, and only now noticed it was still on my desktop.I figure that I need to pull out a bit, on the Thursdays and Tuesdays from Robotic Love, so that I can work out some kinks in my artwork. I am still getting used to the tablet, and while I have moved my desk in my house, I am still getting used to that as well.

This little guy is Red Eyes. I was thinking about using him as a guard to a main bad guy, in a story I am writing.

Meh Fridays

Sometimes it just seems like even though stuff is happening all around and you are running all over, that the day is kinda dragging.  Ninjas, killer slices of cake, zombies with chainsaws tied to them, sharks with lasers, batmen, all these can still be tossed in favor of a depressing grey afternoon of the soul.

On the lighter side, I am getting a better feel for the characters in my comic. drawing them has become far easier in the past couple of weeks. The artwork might not be a lot more, but it is enough for me to enjoy looking at it. I have also held out for a "less is more" aesthetic regarding the backgrounds. I need to get the actual text figured out, but I will work on that over this weekend. I am still wondering if using text worked better in PS than in elements or Painter essentials (which by the way I am getting very sick of)
