COFFEE!!!!!

Those coffee machines. Always the pranksters. They do make a delicious cup of joe though. My company recently got one. I liked it well enough, but the coffee was a little strong for my tastes. I do hope everyone had a nice weekend.

In other news, my dental issues have been halfway taken care of. I am now the proud owner of a hollow tooth, which is to be capped in a short four hour long dentist visit this Friday after work. Yippee.

This is something that has been rolling around in my head for a couple days. I think it is kinda fun to have the best possible cup of coffee come from a deity. I mean seriously did you think the devil makes a good columbian roast? Not bloody likely.

Some people are very specific with their coffee requirements. I know that I am guilty of this as well. Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope your coffee has enough Dilithium to allow you to choke it down.

Never Do Drugs at Work

I think we should move all holidays that usually require a day off equidistant from each other. All of them should branch out from Christmas. this way there is never the lull from christmas day
45.2 days in between holidays. so if we get a day off for christmas, that makes roughly february 15th for another day off. Then April 1st, then May 15th, then July 1st, August 15th, then October 1st, November 15th, then christmas again.

Meh Fridays

Sometimes it just seems like even though stuff is happening all around and you are running all over, that the day is kinda dragging.  Ninjas, killer slices of cake, zombies with chainsaws tied to them, sharks with lasers, batmen, all these can still be tossed in favor of a depressing grey afternoon of the soul.

On the lighter side, I am getting a better feel for the characters in my comic. drawing them has become far easier in the past couple of weeks. The artwork might not be a lot more, but it is enough for me to enjoy looking at it. I have also held out for a "less is more" aesthetic regarding the backgrounds. I need to get the actual text figured out, but I will work on that over this weekend. I am still wondering if using text worked better in PS than in elements or Painter essentials (which by the way I am getting very sick of)

Poop Jokes

It really was only a matter of time. Sooner or later my humor would hit the low point. Woke up this morning and went through some of the scripts that I was intending on using for today comic.

Sadly, the poop joke kept looking at me intently.

"Use me," it said in my mind, "and I will grant you powers over mankind."

OK, so my script didn't actually do that. That might actually be funnier. (note to self...)


So I sit here enjoying an american luxury. Starbucks. Oh how I miss Austrian elegance in coffee. I mean really,

 One is good enough on the fly, but the other. Oh my the other is the sort of thing you can only imagine in today's world. Sitting reading a newspaper, enjoying music, and a hand crafted delight of a coffee.

A little bit of this and that

After whining online about no coffee in our office today, I was suprised by a co-worker handing out VIA packets. This is not a commercial for starbucks in any way. I am just going to say that, DAMN did I ever need that. I haven't slept well all week long, and it has showed this morning. No I have a delicious cup of joe in my hands, and I am very pleased. I also tried some of those x-massy flavored ( I am linking this, because everyone should try it) creamers from the store. I have Egg Nog creamer. It is also very nice. No way will I finish it before dec though. Very sweet.

I also noticed that my habit of post-it noting everything that I come across has nearly controled my workspace in the office. This needs to stop, and soon! Today begins a new day for Raleigh! Today will be the day I clean up my desk!

In the upper left you may notice my presription bottle. Fear not! Its only for my stomach. Years of eating insidiously spicy foods has taken its toll. (I know TMI)
